The circular ecosystem in the east
WaardeRing is a circular craft network in the Zwolle region, which started with fourteen partners in early October 2019. Since its inception the networks has been steadily growing, and it has become a central node in the ecosystem for social and commuinty-based entrepreneurship. Characteristic of WaardeRing is that it is not a physical craft center, but a collaboration of social enterprises and organizations that use their people and locations to form a flexible circular craft network.
WaardeRing is one of the ten initiatives that won the Rijkswaterstaat Competition in 2019 in the field of circular craft centers. Kringloop Zwolle is the initiator of the network. The municipality of Zwolle acts as the secretary of WaardeRing. Project coordination is carried out by Natuur & Milieu Overijssel. In November 2020, the municipalities of Zwartewaterland, Ommen, Dalfsen and Staphorst joined WaardeRing.
